Sept 23

Wonderful meeting today…great attendance!  Mark your calendars for Oct 16…social planned and details to follow.

Robert Foley, our own Squeegee Luigi, showed us the tools of the trade when it comes to window washing.  Always thinking, he uses compressed air as part of the process when cleaning window tracks.  We’ll learn more tricks of the trade next week.  Robert prefers residential jobs topping out at 2 stories, but can sometimes do 3 stories depending on the home.

Matts Olssen, of Skandic Custom Shade Products, shared his thoughts on how to move forward with business during a recession.  He’s been incredibly successful over the years and suggests some serious belt tightening on costs but do not skimp on advertising….you need to keep your name out there!  We learned more about the materials used in awnings and black-out shades, including what’s new in the industry.  If you know anyone with a terrific view his products are perfect because the view is maintained while providing privacy.

See you next week!

Sept 16 meeting

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Great meeting…Steve Lyons, our State Farm agent, is back and healthy and our own Squeegee Luigi, Robert Foley, is back and his window washing business is booming.

Our speaker was Heather Meglasson of Integrative Therapy.  She gave us insight into the process of authoring a book and spoke about alternative therapy such as crystals and colors.

Matts Olssen of Skandic Custom Shade Products showed us some of the screen materials that allow homeowners to have a clear view out while hiding the view looking in. We look forward to his presentation this week.

Congrats to the group on lots and lots of tips…way to support each other!
